MEDIWORLD ACCREDITATION BOARD FOR HEALTHCARE (MABH) has been constituted to  provide evaluation, authentication and accreditation services to organisations engaged in healthcare services across various platforms.

It also provides certification and accreditation services for products and services from a health quality and safety perspective.

 

A. CME/CPD ACCREDITATION

MABH is committed to promotion of ethical, authentic CME/CPD material and patient education material on various ailments. The mission of MABH is the identification, development, and promotion of standards for quality Continuing Medical Education (CME) / Continuous Professional Development (CPD) utilized by physicians in their maintenance of competence and incorporation of new knowledge to improve quality medical care for patients and their communities.

In the pursuit of its mission, MABH partners and collaborates with various healthcare professionals, institutions and organisations across the globe to ensure that the right healthcare messages reach out to the last mile.

MABH fulfils its mission through assessment of authentic, independent CME/CPD and patient education material in various formats (print, video, electronic, digital, web based, etc.). It also adopts a voluntary self-regulated system for accrediting CME/CPD providers and a peer-review process responsive to changes in medical education and the health care delivery system.

 

B. HEALTHCARE SERVICES & PRODUCTS ACCREDITATION

MABH evaluates various healthcare services and products to ensure they conform to globally accepted healthcare safety and standard protocols. 

 In the pursuit of this mission, MABH uses independent professional peers and collaborates with various healthcare professionals, institutions and organisations across the globe to ensure that the products and services reviewed conform to globally accepted norms for ensuring product safety for the end user.

 

ACCREDITATION & COMMENDATION

MABH as part of its mission has voluntarily taken upon itself the following responsibilities:

• Develop criteria for evaluation of  educational programs and activities; patient education programs and activities by which MABH will accredit CME/CPD and patient education programs for assuring compliance with these standards.
• Ensure that the organization and processes of continuing medical education are in conformity with globally acceptable scientific and ethical norms and that only such programs are accorded its accreditation.
• Ensure that continuing medical education and its accreditation support quality patient care and the continuum of medical education
• Constantly review and assess developments in continuing medical education’s support of quality health.
• Review periodically its role in continuing medical education to ensure it remains responsive to public and professional needs.
• Develop criteria for evaluation of  healthcare services across various disciplines, platforms  and formats.
• Develop criteria for evaluation of  various products from a healthcare safety perspective.

 

HOW WE HELP

CME/CPD

MABH supports organisations, bodies and institutions committed to CME/CPD and patient education to continuously improve their CME/CPD programs, and act as strategic partners in their development of these programs.

In this mission MABH seeks support, advice and guidance of erudite opinion leaders on the subject.

We ensure that CME is independent, based on valid content, and contributes to health care improvement for patients and their communities.

While accrediting CME/CPD we follow our stringent accreditation requirements and our Accreditation Criteria. MABH also ensures that the Standards for Commercial Support as defined and accepted by globally recognised bodies operating in this sphere are adhered to.

We believe that CME/CPD should provide support for the physicians’ professional development based on continuous improvement in the knowledge, strategies, and performance of practice necessary to provide optimal patient care.

We strongly believe that CME/CPD activities should be independent and free of commercial bias. It is of course true that CME/CPD activities globally are funded by drug/device companies. MABH allows providers to accept company funding for CME/CPD activities, but prohibits any commercial influence, direct or indirect, over CME/CPD content.

HEALTHCARE SERVICES & PRODUCTS

For evaluation and accreditation of various healthcare services, we ensure that all standard protocols and safety norms are followed to ensure that services provided adhere to globally accepted norms.

For evaluation and accreditation of various products, we ensure that all testing and safety norms are rigorously adopted and followed during production of the product to ensure that human safety is ensured for the end user.

For Commercial Support we believe that globally accepted and recommended six standards by accrediting bodies must be adhered to: independence, resolution of personal conflicts of interest, appropriate use of commercial support, appropriate management of associated commercial promotion, content and format without commercial bias, and disclosures relevant to potential commercial bias.

 

ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY FOR MABH ACCREDITATION

Physicians across the globe depend upon reliable, authentic, accredited CME/CPD for their entire professional career. This helps them continuously improve their practice and their care of patients.

We help organisations/ bodies/ institutions by providing services to independently peer review their developed CME/CPD and patient education content. Bodies engaged in production and dissemination of CME/CPD content can apply to MABH via email.

The fields of medicine and science are dynamic and changes occur every hour. Thus physicians must constantly endeavour to update their professional knowledge with the latest developments in this ever changing field. Physicians across the globe thus yearn for accredited CME/CPD, certified by independent bodies. Whether physicians work in clinical care, research, health care administration, or other areas of medicine, accredited CME/CPD is tailored to their needs and their patients’ needs. Accredited CME/CPD addresses every medical specialty, covering the full range of topics important to health care improvement.

Participation in accredited CME/CPD helps physicians meet requirements for maintenance of licensure, maintenance of specialty board certification, credentialing, membership in professional societies, and other professional privileges.

Organisations providing healthcare services across various disciplines, platforms and formats need to be transparent in the SOPs and protocols they have adhered to while structuring their services delivery. This builds confidence in the end user that the services they are getting are standardised, scientifically structured and adhere to the best available norms currently practiced globally.

A plethora of new products for human use are launched every day. The end users are increasingly getting aware about, as also concerned about the human safety of these products. Whether adequate testing and trials have been conducted on the products to ensure human safety is a genuine concern. Accreditation by an independent body based on thorough evaluation helps build confidence of the end user.

We help organisations/ bodies/ institutions by providing services to independently peer review their developed services and products. Accreditation is provided after a rigorous evaluation of the services and products by independent peers.
